Weekend Picnic

Yesterday we let Dad go downhilling in Park City for the day, MOm and I met up with Baby Mia and Aunt Sarah for a shop and water play mission.
When Dad got home we decided to got to Sugarhouse park for a picnic by the stream
The water is freezing cold but you get used to it, or at least you feet go numb
I like to throw rocks in the water and make a big splash
Uncle Sean got a big bike recently, Dad has been taking him around the trails
helping him to stretch his comfort zone
Dad says its mind over matter...the bike doesn't mind so it doesn't matter.

here Uncle Sean contemplates a drop off while a rusty skeleton taunts him

Happy 5th of July!

Happy 5th of July! and happy birthday to Grandma Mimi!
Since the 4th falls on a Sunday Utah celebrated our Independence on the 3rd
the parade and fire works celebrations all on saturday. This allowed us to extend the celebration
through the weekend...so why not celebrate the 5th as well?
On the 4th we went to Park City to see their parade
We met up with Dustin and Trisha and spectated till the parade wall almost over
we split early to beat the traffic as most of the Salt Lake had driven to PC for the celebration
Mom and I went to the outlets looking for a belt and left Dad in PC with Dustin
so they could ride big bikes

It is hard to believe it has only been a week since I got my sandbox
I've been playing in it every day, Dad put it under the tree so its always nice and shady

Dad has been teaching me to mow the lawn so that he can ride his bike more

I like it but Mom says I'm not ready for a big boy mower yet

weekend wrap up

So we went to Sugarhouse park to watch the races, pretty boring.. I took a nap, that was nice. Dad wasn't racing till almost 4 so we went home to eat and nap some more. The plan to get diaper money didn't work out.. Dad didn't make the brake of 5 guys that made it to the finish first, one of his teammates did though so that was good.

Sunday Dad went to a crit near Park City, the course was hilly so diaper money looked imminent. Dad forced a break on the second lap, first it was 5 guys then 3, then just Dad and a kid named Tanner. They built their lead to a minute and thirty seconds and almost lapped the chase group. Tanner beat Dad in the sprint but was later disqualified for not using Jr. gears.. bummer for Tanner but good for us, we got his diaper money! Monday the plan was for Dad to race mountain bikes and try to win some money. There was lots of rain sunday evening so the trails were muddy, the organizers decided to move the start back a few hours and then move it back even further to 12:30.. and then Dad found out that the money only goes to the top 3 places.. Dad is fast but we can't gamble with those odds, so we had Dad come home for family time.

We went to the park for a bit and took a few naps.. it turned out to be a nice memorial day.

MOm gets the weekend off!

Today starts the first ever all day all night Dad weekend. MOm is going to leave me and go hang out with her friends. She already handed over the nordstrom card so she could go shop crazy, they probably will go shop though. Look for them at Harry O's or something... they like to go party in PC and pretend like its a vacation, they're getting a hotel room to avoid something called the Gauntlet.

So what will Dad and I do? We'll ride. Actually he'll ride I'll just drag along. Here are a few pics from yesterdays adventures, we went to Fishers to glue up some training wheels...
I did some Clapping!

Last night MOm came home with a Rumbi salad and a guest.. Mr. stank bug!

Working with Dad a.k.a Tricked

yesterday was filled with activities, that's always how it is when grama is in town.

Dad did an airport run for the Price family(dana,DP,ryder, payton), shipped them off to Hawaii. Then he needed to drop of a display in Park City so we decided to make it a lunch adventure.
We all went to PC and had lunch at Windy Ridge cafe..after lunch Dad delivered a display to White pine Touring, this is where the tricks started.
first it was" i just need to pop into Cole sport, then "I should check the PC mail box while we're here"
On the way back into salt lake it was "I'm just going to deliver these hub bodies to Spin Cycle real quick"
We did squeeze in some fun though, in Holladay we stopped at So Cup Cakes for an afternoon pick me up.. Yum!
